First time here and we loved it. Great (and vast) alcohol selection with drinks you might not have had before. They also have lunch specials. I got the bangers and mash, and my husband got a full English, which they call a Full Monty. We finished that off with the brownie bites. The waitress told us there was a dessert of the day, which wasn't featured on the menu. We left very full and satisfied and will definitely be back again.

Great pub! Secret entrance; if you can find it you may enter. I highly recommend the Shepherd's pie. Parking was tough; we parked on Washington.

The experience: five stars. The food: three. But maybe that's unfair, because British cuisine isn't known for excellence. In any event, the service was good, and we appreciated the old phone booth outside our window. The very placement of the pub on the side of a hill is reminiscent of Britain. My drink was a tasty flavor combo of hard cider and porter. We started with a Scotch egg, a hard-boiled egg wrapped in sausage, rolled in bread crumbs, and baked to crisp deliciousness. The main course was fish and chips. The fish was moist but pretty much like all the other fish and chips available, and the chips were bland, soggy, and absolutely uninspired. Is that how they're supposed to be in Britain?

Yes. Can get loud but not in a rowdy or disorderly way. Blues games draw a crowd so parking can be a challenge, and they usually fill to fire marshall limit 30 min or more before really big games.
